Tonight, I was sitting at the table with my kids, feeding my 1 year old... and my 3 year old... because he didn't want to eat his food. I have to make sure he gets SOME nutrients.
While I was sitting there I began to feel so-o tired I actually started dozing off. I thought to myself "I can't fall asleep" I still have my kids to take care of. But My body was shutting down. I was so tired.
I could make myself sound good by saying I was tired because I stayed up all night taking care of my kids and then worked myself to death cleaning house, taking care of kids and doing all that awesome mommy stuff...but that wouldn't be true.
Really, I stayed up until 4 in the morning trying to figure out glitches on THIs blog.
Yeah. I know. Really reputable thing to do. I won't be doing that again. NOt a wise choice.
So anyway, back to the story. I was falling asleep and in my desperation to stay awake I said a little prayer "please help me to stay awake"...so what happened? I fell asleep of course!
But only for a moment because two little angels came to answer my prayer. Suddenly I felt my little abby pulling on a huge chunk of my hair as hard as she could. She was yelling at me as she did this. Of course, I began to wake up but still hadn't opened my eyes. Then, seconds later, I heard a loud voice (which I could tell was coming from the computer) proclaiming the great benefit that women are, their divine attributes and their influence in the world and in the home, especially as mothers. My wonderful son had pushed play on the latest general conference address (which I had been listening to earlier).
With all of the noise and hair pulling and, lastly, with the motivating words about Mothers' I was able to muster up the strength to stand up, clean up the dinner table and...guess what? I'm still awake. It's 10:36 p.m.
That is my little blessing. Just before standing up from the dinner table, I said a little thank you to God for answering my simple prayer through my sweet angel children. I always enjoy seeing how God really is a part of the intricate details of our lives.
Later...I will talk about the miracle of "tithing". Our cute little story that happened today.
But for now.
I'm going to bed.

A message for my Family
Calling out to anyone and everyone in my family.
In case you haven't noticed, this is my cool new blog. You may have also noticed that there is not much to it. Practically every "link" and page is empty. This is because I don't yet have any cool stories to share. I need YOUR help to do it.
If you have ANY cool stories about you or your parents or ANY of my (and your) ancestors please let me know via post.
You can share your story with me via e-mail, or via Facebook. Or you can share your story with me over the phone or skype, or in person and then I will be posting your stories on this blog, and on the specified family blogs (ex: cochranstories blog or Granostories blog). These specified family blogs can be found on the "My Family History" Tab.
Just remember, these stories will be posted so that anyone who comes to this site can view them (Although only family really knows about this site). If you don't feel comfortable sharing your personal stories that is "A Okay."
My goal here is for us to strengthen our relationships with each other as we strengthen our ties to our ancestors we have in common.
I think this should be a lot of fun.
If you have any comments or concerns please post below.
You will need to join in order to post comments.

Okay...Some other things I just thought of. As you can see, the picture I have displayed does not represent anyone in my family lines. If you have pictures you are willing to share Please do so. In fact if you think you have ANYTHING that would be beneficial for this site, by all means, pass it on over.
Entering the world of Family History
Many of us love coming across crazy stories about our ancestors sailing across the ocean, settling the wild country, chasing off clowns on unicycles during a dessert storm... (just making sure you're awake)... and simply put, surviving the unsurvivable.
What we don't all love is Family History Work. The moment we hear WORK our instinctive thought is to crawl in bed, turn off the lights and go to sleep until someone else has done all the work for us!
You sleeping yet?
Well, guess what?!!!!! It's cliche, but Family History does NOT have to be that way! Unveiling the stories of our past can be an exciting, hilarious and spiritual adventure. My Family Unveiled aims to give you just that experience.
Whether you're a family history dummy or a genealogical guru My Family Unveiled can show you the Where, What and How of family history.
You may ask, Why on earth would I want to do family history research?
By learning how to "unveil" the mysteries of our family history we can come to better understand our ancestors and ourselves and, thereby, have a greater impact on our future generations.
Whether you want to believe it or not, your lives have been intricately shaped by your ancestors. And the more you learn about them, the more you learn about YOU! The More you learn about YOU... the cooler you are? We'll just leave it at that...Or you can fill in the blanks.
The blessings and opportunities that come from doing family history work...or family history FUN...are endless. But you'll never know what will come of it until you start.
If any of you have a motivating story to share about how you got started with family history, I invite your comments.
Best of Luck to you on your journey through Family History!
..and genealogy, of course. Family History rarely comes without genealogy...but that's a different subject for a later post. : )
Come back later to see why I have chosen to focus as much of my time as I can to Help people with Family History, when I could be doing so many other things.
